      respectively in a business. B withdrew after 6 months. If A got Rs. 3600 from a total yearly profit of Rs. 5400, find the value of β€˜m’.
      A Rs.200 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      B Rs.900 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      C Rs.800 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      D Rs.500 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      ATQ,

      Investment ratio = 900 : m

      Profit ratio = (900 Γ— 12) : (m Γ— 6) = 10800 : 6m = 1800 : m

      (1800 / (1800 + m)) Γ— 5400 = 3600

      (1800 / (1800 + m)) = 2 / 3

      1800 Γ— 3 = 2(1800 + m)

      5400 = 3600 + 2m

      2m = 1800

      m = 900

      So, the value of β€˜m’ is Rs. 900
