respectively. After 6 months, R invested Rs. 40,000 in the business. The profit earned at the end of the year was Rs. 31,200. Find the share of Q in the profit.Solution

Profit sharing ratio of P, Q and R:
= (60000 × 12) : (45000 × 12) : (40000 × 6)
= 720000 : 540000 : 240000
= 12 : 9 : 4
Total = 25 parts
Q’s share = 31200 × (9 / 25) = Rs. 11,232
