Question
A and B together start a business with investment of Rs. 2000 and Rs. (x + 900), respectively. If the profit earned after 5 years is Rs. 8000 and share of A is Rs. 3200, then find the value of
x.
Solution
Ratio of share of profit of A : B = 2000: (x + 900) So, {2000/(x + 2900)} Γ 8000 = 3200 => 5000 = x + 2900 => x = 2100
