Question
Mr. Sharma distributed a total of Rs. 11,250 among his
three employeesâRam, Saran, and Ramenâbased on their performance. The distribution was such that Ram received half of the combined amount given to Saran and Ramen, while Ramen received half of the combined amount given to Ram and Saran. Determine the share received by Saran.Solution
Let the shares of Ram, Saran and Ramen be Rs n, Rs y and Rs z
n + y + z = 11250
n=(y + z)/2
=> 2n = y + z
=> 3n = n + y + z
=> 3n = 11250
=> n = 3750
z= (n + y)/2
=> 2z = n + y
=> 3z = n + y + z
=> 3z = 11250
=> z = 3750
Hence Saran's share= 11250 - (3750 x 2) = Rs 3750
