    % of acid in mixture X = 100 × (11/20) = 55% So, total quantity of acid in the newly formed mixture = 36 × 0.55 + 24 × 0.25 = 19.8 + 6 = 25.8 litres Total quantity of the newly formed mixture = 36 + 24 = 60 litres So, required % = (25.8/60) × 100 = 43%
