    was water. If (x + 15) of the mixture is taken out and add 8 litres of milk in it, then the difference between the final quantity of milk and water becomes 20 litres. Find the value of x.
    A 33 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    B 31 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 30 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 35 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Total mixture = 120 litres Quantity of milk = 70x and quantity of water = 50x According ro question, Final quantity of Milk = 70 – (x + 15) (7/12) + 8 Final quantity of water = 50 – (x + 15) (5/12) Required difference, => [70 – (x + 15) (7/12) + 8] – [50 – (x + 15) (5/12) ] = 20 => 28 – (x + 15) (1/6) = 20 => (x + 15)/6 = 8 => x = 33
