      Question

The base of a solid right prism is a triangle whose

sides are 20cm, 21cm and 29cm. the height of the prism is 6 cm then the total surface area of the prism is?
A 980 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 900 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 1056 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 840 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      As 20, 21  & 29 is satisfying Pythagoras so it is a right angle triangle. Total surface area of prism = Perimeter of base× Height + 2 × Area of base = (20 + 21 + 29) × 6 + 2 × (1/2 × 20 × 21) = 70 × 6 + 2 × 210 = 420 + 420 = 840 cm 2
