Question
Find the volume (in cm³) of a right circular cone whose
diameter is 30 cm and height is equal to the radius of a circle whose circumference is 110 cm. (Use π = 22/7)Solution
ATQ, Circumference of circle = 2 × π × radius
So, 2 × (22/7) × radius = 110
Or, radius = 17.5 cm
So, height of cone = 17.5 cm
Volume of cone = (1/3) × π × radius² × height
= (1/3) × (22/7) × 15² × 17.5
= 4,125 cm³
