Question
A rectangle has its sides measuring 32 cm in length and 18 cm in breadth. If the length is increased by 50% and the breadth is reduced by 20%, calculate the perimeter of the new rectangle.
Solution
ATQ,
Length of the new rectangle = 1.50 Γ 32 = 48 cm
Breadth of the new rectangle = 0.80 Γ 18 = 14.4 cm
Required perimeter = 2 Γ (48 + 14.4) = 124.8 cm
