So, the area of the rectangular field = l × b = 540 l = 540/b Perimeter of the rectangular field = 2(l + b) = 94 l + b = 47 540/b + b = 47 540 + b² = 47b b² – 47b + 540 = 0 b² – 30b – 17b + 540 = 0 b(b – 30) – 17(b – 30) = 0 (b – 17)(b – 30) = 0 b = 30, 17 b = 17 m and l = 30 m as length is greater than breadth So, the desired percentage = {(30 – 17)/30} × 100 = 43.33% or 43%
