So, the area of the rectangular field = l × b = 720 l = 720/b Perimeter of the rectangular field = 2(l + b) = 106 l + b = 53 720/b + b = 53 720 + b² = 53b b² – 53b + 720 = 0 b² – 40b – 13b + 720 = 0 b(b – 40) – 13(b – 40) = 0 (b – 13)(b – 40) = 0 b = 40, 13 b = 13 m and l = 40 m as length is greater than breadth So, the desired percentage = {(40 – 13)/40} × 100 = 67.5%
