Question
The perimeter of 3 squares is 30 cm, 36 cm and 42 cm
respectively. What will be the area of the square having perimeter equal to sum of edges of 3 squares? (in sq.cm) Note:- Find the nearest whole number.Solution
Given perimeters: 30 cm, 36 cm, 42 cm Side lengths: 30/4, 36/4, 42/4 = 7.5, 9, 10.5 cm Sum of edges (sides) = 7.5 + 9 + 10.5 = 27 cm New square has perimeter = 27 cm ⇒ side = 27/4 cm Area = (27/4)2 = 729/16 = 45.5625 sq.cm or 45 sq.cm
