Let radius and height of the cylinder is ‘16x’ cm and ‘14x’ cm respectively. So, 2 × (22/7) × 16x × 14x = 689.92 Or, x2 = 0.49  Or, x = 0.7 Radius of cylinder = 16 × 0.7 = 11.2 cm Desired area = 22/7 × 11.2 × 11.2 = 394.24 cm² Â
