B 285 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 180 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 195 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      According to the question Let the length and breadth of rectangle are x cm and (x – 3) cm respectively. Perimeter of rectangle = 2 x (Length + Breadth) ⇒ 2 (x + x – 3) = 54 ⇒ x = 15 Length = x = 15 cm Breadth = x – 3 = 12 cm Area of rectangle = Length x Breadth Area of rectangle = 15 x 12 = 180 cm²
