    Let the length of the rectangle be 3x cm and its breadth is 2x cm. Then, Perimeter = 2(3x + 2x) ⇒ 240 = 10x ⇒ x = 24 Hence, the area of the rectangle = 3x × 2x = 6x2 = 6 × 242 = 3456 cm2.
