Question
Pawan gives 29% of his monthly income to Aman. He
allocates 16% of his monthly income between Bhanu and Charu, such that Bhanu receives 43.5% of the combined amount given to both Bhanu and Charu. If Charu receives Rs. 1,101 less than 37.5% of the amount Aman receives, determine Pawan's monthly income.Solution
ATQ,
Let monthly income of Pawan be Rs. ‘100x’.
Amount received by ‘Aman’ = 0.29 × 100x = Rs. ‘29x’
Amount received by ‘Bhanu’ and ‘Charu’ together = 0.16 × 100x = Rs. ‘16x’
Amount received by ‘Bhanu’ = (16x × 0.435) = Rs. ‘6.96x’
Amount received by ‘Charu’ = (16x – 6.96x) = Rs. ‘9.04x’
ATQ,
9.04x + 1101 = 0.375 × 29x
Or, 9.04x + 1101 = 10.875x
Or, 1101 = 1.835x
So, x = 600
So, monthly income of Piyush = 100x = 100 × 600 = Rs. 60,000
