Question
The LCM of two numbers is 5400 while their HCF is 90. If one of the numbers is 900, then the other number is:
Solution
Given:
- LCM of two numbers = 5400
- HCF of two numbers = 90
- One number = 900
Since,
HCF of two numbers × LCM of two numbers = First number × Second number
Second number = (90 × 5400)/900 = 486000/900 = 540
So, the other number is 540.
