    Question

The least common multiple (LCM) of two numbers is 144, and

the numbers are in the ratio 4:6. Find their sum.
A 120 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 165 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 156 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 139 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    ATQ,
Let the numbers be 4m and 6m.

LCM of the numbers = 12m

    Given, 12m = 144

    So, m = 12

Thus, the numbers are 48 and 72.

    Hence, the sum = 48 + 72 = 120.
