Question

If the ratio of areas of two similar triangles is 4:9, then the ratio of their corresponding sides is?

A 2:3 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 3:4 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 4:5 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 5:6 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E 6:7 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

Solution

Area of first triangle/Area of second triangle = 4/9. As triangles are similiar, ratio of area of two triangles = square of ratio of their corresponding sides Hence 4/9 = (Ratio of thier corrresponding sides) 2   So Ratio of their corresponding sides = 2/3
