      Let the side of the square = 100  When Ravi goes from A to C instead of sideways =100+100 =200 When he goes diagonally = a√ 2   = 100 ×1.41 = 141 Distance reduction = 200 -141 = 59 reduction = 59/200  ×100 = 29.5%
