Upstream speed = 245/7 = 35 km/h Downstream speed = 450/10 = 45 km/h Speed of boat in still water = (35 + 45)/2 = 40 km/h  Speed of stream = (45 – 35)/2 = 5 km/h Increased speed of boat in still water = 40 + 5 = 45 km/h Decreased speed of stream = 5 – 2 = 3 km/h Required time taken = 533/(45 – 3) + 329/(45 + 3) = 13 + 7 = 20 hours
