Question
The average value of the property of Rina, Tanya and Kavya
is Rs. 90 lacs. The value of the property of Rina is Rs. 30 lacs less than the value of the property of Tanya, and Rs. 15 lacs less than the value of the property of Kavya. Find the value of the property of Kavya.Solution
Total value of the property of Rina, Tanya and Kavya = 90 × 3 = Rs. 270 lacs
Let the value of the property of Tanya = Rs. x lacs
The value of the property of Rina = Rs. (x – 30) lacs
The value of the property of Kavya = Rs. (x – 30 + 15) lacs
x + x – 30 + x – 15 = 270
3x – 45 = 270
3x = 270 + 45
3x = 315
x = Rs. 105 lacs
The value of the property of Kavya = 105 – 15 = Rs. 90 lacs
