such that they are in the ratio 5:7 respectively. Another number ‘R’ is 60 more than ‘Q’ and fourth number ‘S’ is 50% of the ‘P’. Find the average of ‘R’ and ‘S’.
A 390 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 400 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 410 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 420 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Sum of ‘P’ and ‘Q’ = 480 × 2 = 960
    Therefore,
    ‘P’ = 960 × (5/12) = 400
    ‘Q’ = 960 – 400 = 560
    ‘R’ = 560 + 60 = 620
    ‘S’ = 0.5 × 400 = 200
    Required average = {(620 + 200)/2} = 410
