    white and yellow) in a taxi stand is 100. The number of black taxis is 80 more than that of yellow taxis. The total number of black and white taxis is 400. Find the number of white taxis in a taxi stand.

    Let the number of white taxis be ‘x’ Therefore, number of black taxis = (400 – x) Number of yellow taxis = (400 – x – 80) = (320 – x) According to the question, 320 – x + 400 – x + x = 100 × 3 Or, x = 420
