A rectangle with a length of 16 cm and breadth of 8 cm is rolled through its length to form a hollow cylinder. What will be the volume (in cm³) of the cylinder? (Use π = 3.14)
Solution
ATQ, The circumference of the circular end of the cylinder = breadth of the rectangle. So, 2 × π × radius = 16. 2 × 3.14 × radius =16 
Now, the height of the cylinder = breadth of the rectangle = 8 cm. Required volume
