Question
Three years ago, age of A was 10 years less than 1.2 times
his current age. The ratio of age of B, 3 years later to the age of C, 1 year ago is 3:2. Find the age of B, if C is 40% less than A.Solution
ATQ,
Let the present age of A, B and C be βaβ, βbβ and βcβ years respectively.
a β 3 = 1.2 Γ a β 10
0.2 Γ a = 7
a = 7 / 0.2
a = 35 years
So, age of c = 35 Γ 0.6 = 21 years
Also, (b + 3)/(c β 1) = 3/2
b + 3 = 1.5c β 1.5
b = 1.5 Γ 21 β 1.5 β 3
b = 31.5 β 4.5 = 27 years
