    ATQ, Let present age of P's husband = ‘x’ years 8 years hence from now, age of P's husband = (x + 8) years So, present age of P = {0.7 × (x + 8)} = (0.7x + 5.6) years 3 years ago, Age of P = (0.7x + 5.6 – 3) years Age of P's husband = (x – 3) years ATQ, (x – 3) + (0.7x + 5.6 – 3) = 37 Or, 1.7x – 0.4 = 37 Or, 1.7x = 37.4 So, x = 22 Therefore, present age of P's husband = 22 years
