Question
The present average age of ‘A’ and ‘B’ is 10
years, present average age of ‘A’ and ‘C’ is 6 years and present average age of ‘B’ and ‘C’ is 12 years. Find the present age of ‘A’Solution
According to the question, Present ages of (A + B) = 10 × 2 = 20…. (1) Than, the Present ages of (A + C) = 6 × 2 = 12…. (2) Than, the Present ages of (B + C) = 12 × 2 = 24….. (3) Therefore From equations (1), (2) and (3), we get Present ages of (A + B + C) = (20 + 12 + 24)/2 = 28 years Therefore From equation (3)we will get the, present age of ‘A’ = 28 – 24 = 4 years
