The Pearson coefficient β2 is always greater than 1 for discrete distribution. β2 
= 3 indicates mesokurtic curve. β2< 3 and β2 > 1 then the curve will be platykurtic but it must be greater than 1 otherwise it will be straight line curve and question of skewness does not arise.
