Under Section 17 (Search and Seizure): 1. An authorised officer may enter and search any building, place, vessel, vehicle or aircraft if he has reason to believe that a person is in possession of proceeds of crime. 2. Search cannot be conducted without recording reasons in writing. 3. Copy of the reasons recorded and material should be forwarded to the Adjudicating Authority in a sealed cover. 4. Seizure is permissible only when such property cannot be frozen.
