    Section 60 provides: "(a) if the offence be committed, be punished with imprisonment... for a term which may extend to one-fourth... (b) if the offence be not committed, to one-eighth, of the longest term of such imprisonment." One-fourth of 7 years = 1.75 years if committed; one-eighth of 7 years = 0.875 years (approximately 10.5 months) if not committed.
