In a prosecution under s.138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881, the court shall presume, unless the contrary is proved, that:

A That the holder of the cheque received it for the discharge, in whole or in part, of any debt or other liability.
B That the cheque was forged by the holder before it was presented for payment to the drawee bank.
C That the notice of dishonour was duly served on the drawer by registered post within the period prescribed by the section.
D That the drawer issued the cheque with an intention to cheat the payee and had no intention of honouring it.
E That the drawer had insufficient funds in his account on the date on which the cheque was issued to the holder.
