    Naseerabad was the first place in Rajasthan where the Revolt of 1857 began on 28 May. The news of the revolt of Merrut reached A.G.G. George Lawerence and he sent the 15th Bengal Native Infantry located in Ajmer to Nasirabad  due to which the dissatisfaction among the soldiers was born.
