The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Army successfully conducted four flight-tests of the Army version of Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha. These operational flight trials were carried out against high-speed aerial targets at varying ranges and altitudes to validate the system's capabilities. The missiles successfully intercepted and destroyed all targets with direct hits. The performance was validated through flight data captured by range instruments including radars and electro-optical tracking systems deployed by the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur. The trials were conducted by the Indian Army's Eastern and Southern Commands under DRDO guidance.
