The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has established a partnership with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to improve the blocking, tracing, and recovery of lost or stolen mobile phones for train passengers. As part of this initiative, DoT's Sanchar Saathi service will be integrated with RPF operations to enhance mobile security. The Rail Madad app, developed by Indian Railways to assist passengers with complaints during train journeys, is being interfaced with the DoT's Sanchar Saathi platform, which has functionality for blocking reported stolen/lost mobile devices.
