India has imposed a five-year anti-dumping duty on hot-rolled flat steel imports from Vietnam to protect domestic steel manufacturers from underpriced imports. The duty applies to alloy and non-alloy hot-rolled flat steel products and is aimed at preventing the diversion of cheap Chinese steel routed through Vietnam. Most Vietnamese exporters are covered under this measure, while Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel JSC has been exempted due to a low dumping margin.
