Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, a 1996-batch Indian Administrative Service IAS officer, was appointed as the Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation DGCA in January 2025. Kidwai is currently serving as the additional secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. He took over from Vikram Dev Dutt, who served as DG from February 28, 2023, until his appointment as the coal secretary in October 2024. The appointment was made by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet ACC.
