It is one of the oldest cricket clubs in South Africa. It is also known as Crusaders Ground or simply Crusaders, St George's Park. The cricket ground is well known for its brass band. The First Test match which the ground hosted was in March 1889. The first One Day International played at the ground was in December 1992.
