The Purna Swaraj declaration is also known as the Declaration of the Independence of India. It was promulgated by the Indian National Congress at the Lahore session under the influence of Jawaharlal Nehru in 1929. The purpose of the declaration was to fight for complete self-rule or Purna Swaraj, independent of British rule.
