Question

Which river forms the largest delta in the world?

A Ganges-Brahmaputra Delta Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Mississippi River Delta Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Amazon River Delta Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Mekong Delta Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

Solution

The Ganges-Brahmaputra Delta, also known as the Sunderbans Delta, is formed by the confluence of the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna rivers in the Bay of Bengal. It is the largest delta in the world in terms of area. The other options, Mississippi River Delta, Amazon River Delta, and Mekong Delta, are also significant deltas, but they are not as large as the Ganges-Brahmaputra Delta.
