Mahakaleshwar, which means the ‘Lord of time’, refers to Lord Shiva is a temple that was made by Lord Brahma and is presently located alongside the holy river Shipra (a tributary of Chambal River) in Ujjain.
It is one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The plan will cost around Rs 850-crore and it is around 2.82 hectares now and is planned to be increased to 47 hectares in two phases.
