The chief minister M K Stalin unveiled that the state has signed five MoU in this sector worth Rs 2,250 crore. The state has also launched the Tamil Nadu Footwear and Leather Products Policy 2022. The policy will aim at an investment of Rs 20,000 crore in the leather sector by the year 2025 and also to provide employment to almost 2 Lakh people.
