    Solution

    Let the number of students in section A is x and B is y, then 75 =  (78.5 × x + 70 × y)/ (x + y) ⇒ 75x + 75y = 78.5x + 70y ⇒  5y = 3.5x ⇒ x/y = 5/3.5 ⇒ x/y = 10 : 7
