    Solution

    Sum of marks scored by him in five subjects = 5 x 80 = 400 Sum of marks scored by him (excluding his highest and lowest marks) = 3 x 65 = 195 Therefore, sum of highest and lowest marks = 400 – 195 = 205 So, highest marks scored by him = 205 – 55 = 150
