      Let the number of oranges in the first basket be x.  Number of oranges in the second basket = 660 – x According to the question, x – (x/4) = 660 – x + (x/4) 3x/4 = 660 – [x – (x/4)] 3x/4 = 660 – 3x/4 6x/4 = 660 6x = 660 x 4 x = 2640/6 = 440
