    Solution

    Let speed of downstream and speed of stream be 4x and 3x respectively. Speed of current => 3x = 6 => x = 2 km/hr Downstream speed = 4 × 2 = 8 km/h Speed of boat = 8 - 2 = 6 km/hr Upstream speed = 6 - 2 = 4 km/h Distance travelled upstream in 7 hr = 7 × 4 = 28 km
