Under the ‘Vanjeevi Didi’ initiative launched in Palamu Tiger Reserve, 18 women are selected from each participating village. These women are trained to act as community ambassadors for forest and wildlife conservation. Most participants are college graduates or pursuing higher education, enabling them to effectively communicate awareness messages within their communities. The selected women help promote conservation practices, prevent illegal hunting and habitat destruction, and strengthen the link between forest authorities and local residents living near the tiger reserve.
