In a move aimed at advancing infrastructure development in the state, the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has established the Urban Road Infrastructure Development Agency (URIDA). Additionally, Uttar Pradesh government recently granted approval for the implementation of the Chief Minister Green Road Infrastructure Development Scheme (Urban), which boasts a substantial budget of Rs 500 crore. This scheme, known as the 'CM Grids Scheme,' underscores the dedication to promoting sustainable and green urban infrastructure development in the state. This scheme, named the 'Chief Minister Green Road Infrastructure Development Scheme (Urban),' has been launched by the Urban Development Department in alignment with the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It is aimed at enhancing the visual and functional aspects of urban roadways while also shouldering the responsibility of overseeing, financing, and supervising road development within municipalities.
