Saudi Arabia has become the 51st country to sign the ASEAN's Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC). The signing took place during the 56th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM). Saudi Arabia's signing of the TAC shows its commitment to ASEAN values and principles. The TAC aims to promote political stability and security in Southeast Asia by resolving conflicts peacefully.  Indonesia will also work towards the accession of Panama, Spain, and Mexico to the TAC during the 43rd ASEAN Summit in September 2023.
