The Second United Nations World Geospatial Information Congress ( UNWGIC 2022) , addressed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi via video ,is being held in Hyderabad International Convention Centre, India, from 10- 14 October 2022. The theme of the conference is , 'Geo- enabling the Global Village: No one should be left behind'”. Convened by the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management ( UN- GGIM) , UNWGIC 2022 is being organized by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations and hosted by the Government of India. The convening of the UNWGIC arises out of the mandate from the United Nations Economic and Social Council ( ECOSOC) to UN- GGIM to organize global forums to promote comprehensive dialogue on global geospatial information management with all relevant governments, international organizations, and stakeholders.
